ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT

 

Huntington Country Club is a private, member owned Club designed by Devereux Emmet in 1910. Located midway between Huntington Village and Cold Spring Harbor on Long Island’s North Shore. The club is a full amenities country club with a very active playing membership and house membership. The club hired Ian Andrews, golf course architect with McDonald and Sons, to execute a 5-year plan for extensive golf course improvements.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Assistant Superintendent will work alongside the Superintendent and turf management team to provide championship conditions on a daily basis. The ideal candidate must be motivated with the desire to advance in the golf course maintenance industry. This position will be exposed to all aspects of our operation.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: This is an introductory level Assistant’s position; no experience is necessary. Our management team is structured to support, teach, and mentor any serious candidate to become successful in golf course management. Over-time required in season. Must obtain pesticide license upon hire paid for by club.

 

 

COMPENSATION: $22.00 to $25.00 per hour
